Intersectional Environmentalist (@intersectionalenvironmentalist) is a new initiative founded by sustainability writer and intersectional activist Leah Thomas (@greengirlleah).

Intersectional Environmentalist has just launched on Instagram (@intersectionalenvironmentalist) and also has a website that will act as a platform for resources, information and action steps to support intersectional environmentalism and dismantle systems of oppression in the environmental movement.

Leah Thomas works as an eco-communicator and was behind the viral Environmentalists For Black Lives Matter Instagram post. Now her mission is to spread the word about Intersectional Environmentalism and help bring marginalised voices to the forefront of sustainability.

The group behind Intersectional Environmentalist has compiled their first digital download, which includes an interview with Leah Thomas and a list of resources – collated by conscious curator Diandra Marizet – to help us dive deeper into these issues.

There will also be more resources and action steps to come, so follow @intersectionalenvironmentalist to keep informed about Intersectional Environmentalism, and sign up and support (we have) for the first digital download.
