It’s that time of year again! Vivid Sydney is back and there are so many things to learn, see and do. If you’re feeling a little overwhelmed by the scale of the schedule, then don’t worry because we’re here to help. We’ve picked out the best (and most interesting) ethical fashion events that are taking place at Vivid this year so you don’t have to! From the circular economy to sustainable supply chains, these events will provide you with up-to-date info on some of the most important issues facing the fashion industry. Pencil them into your calendar now!

1) Future Fashion

What does the future of fashion look like? This is the question that Vogue's new sustainability editor Clare Press and two other panelists will attempt to answer at this event. Join them for an important discussion about the circular economy, sustainable production, eco-friendly materials and new recycling initiatives. Representatives from The Possibility Project — an organisation that collaborates with communities in India on a slow clothing label called slumwear108 — and Chalk Re-Design — a group that provides apparel companies with education on circularity and conscious production — will join Press on the panel. This is a must for anyone who works in the fashion industry and anyone who cares about the impact their clothes have on people and the planet.

Future Fashion takes place on June 16 at the Museum of Contemporary Art. Head here to purchase tickets.

2) Future Forward

Wouldn’t it be great if you could ask a bunch of industry leaders in your chosen field for career advice? Well guess what, you can! The cream of the global fashion crop will provide tips and tricks galore at this Vivid Ideas event. Panelists include the Head of Fashion Partnerships at Instagram and Facebook Eva Chen, the General Manager of Amazon Fashion in Australia Angela Langmann, and the Editor in Chief of Russh Magazine Jess Blanch. These speakers will talk about the evolving role of technology in fashion, the future of social media and fashion, and much, much more. If you’re after insights into the fashion industry, or just a little inspiration, then this is the event for you.

Future Forward takes place on June 13 at the Museum of Contemporary Art. Head here to purchase tickets.

3) Sustainable Supply Chain

If you run your own independent label, or a business of any kind, then you may be interested in this educational (and free!) event. A group of business experts will break down sustainable supply chains at this event. They’ll also explore some simple steps that you could take to make your supply chain more sustainable. This event is open to business owners and anyone who is interested in socially and environmentally responsible supply chains.

Sustainable Supply Chain takes place on June 5 at the Museum of Contemporary Art. Head here to register.

4) Sartorial: Fashion, Art and Technology

Celebrate the final night of Vivid Sydney in style at this interactive event. Part exhibition, part party, this event will invite you to engage with fashion prototypes that are responsive to proximity, touch, sound and facial-recognition technology. There will also be virtual reality and 3D printed garments as well as clothes that you can connect to via an app. We have no idea what any of this means, so we guess we’ll just have to find out on the night!

Sartorial: Fashion, Art and Technology takes place on June 16 at the Museum of Contemporary Art. Head here to purchase tickets.
