Why We Wear Patagonia Activewear
3 months ago | News
Image: the Patagonia Light Weight Pack Out Tights are the fairly-made, sustainable, high-waisted, compressing (all of the things) leggings we're wearing all the time.
The Switchback Sports Bra and the Pack Out Tights by Patagonia are here, and they’re the activewear pieces we’re wearing whether we’re running a marathon or watching one.
They’re Fair Trade-certified sewn. This means Patagonia pays a premium for every garment, and the extra money goes towards initiatives like health-care programs or child-care centres for the garment workers (determined by the garment workers themselves).
They’re made from recycled PET. Recycled PET is a sustainable alternative to virgin PET, but is still firm-fitting and compressing, which is just the way we like our activewear.
The fit. The Switchback Sports Bra is firm-fitting and the Pack Out Tights are high-waisted, and both are made from relatively thick recycled PET, to keep us feeling supported through our work outs.
The features. The Switchback Sports Bra features mesh lining for wicking sweat, and the Pack Out Tights feature a zip pocket for our keys, and the attention to detail of both pieces ensures they’ll go the distance with us (even if that's just for a walk to our local coffee shop).
