Turn Curd Into Tart With Off Carte

With spring in the air, we have been going full cottagecore. Which means we've been baking vegan cakes, whipping up some lemon curd, and now turning that curd into tart with Off Carte

In case you missed it, Off Carte is the recipe exchange community founded by Joel Mevissen of Westmont Pickles and our very own Rosie Dalton. On Instagram, Off Carte shares easy DIY recipes from chefs, designers and everyone in between. Including a special weekly recipe especially for us.

This week they're showing us how to turn that lemon curd into tart, for spring entertaining.

Here's how.


1. Follow our recipe for homemade lemon curd (spoiler: it is super easy)
2. Then process 1 cup plain flour with 1/2 cup sugar and a pinch of salt in food processor
3. Add 1/2 cup butter (cut into cubes) and pulse until it forms a coarse meal
4. Next add 1 egg and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract and keep pulsing until no longer dry
5. Take your crumbly dough and form into a ball on a floured surface
6. Flatten to form a disc and cover with wrap in fridge for an hour
7. Now roll it out into a circle and place in your tart pan, trimming edges
8. Cover with baking paper and pie weights, then bake at 190 degrees C for about 20
9. Remove weights and bake for a further 10
10. Allow your crust to cool completely, then fill with curd and top with strawberries

Your tart is ready to eat after setting in the fridge for at least an hour :)
